Abused Horses

Im glad to have became author of this great blog and I am heart broken by this story. The ASPCA rescued over one hundred neglected horses from a farm in Arkansas. There were many dead and sick, most had unhealed wounds and bone fractures. The horses were starved and had no water. The man who had owned them bought horses at acutions and sold them to the public. He is most likely to have more than 100 counts of animal cruelty. This is very sad and all the rescued horses are being treated on site. I hope I never have to hear a story like this tragic event again.

:(I didn't even read the article and I noticed that the horse's ribs were showing. Congratz on becoming an author!

Hi I just have to say that I think this site is great! It really informs the public about what is happening. I just wanted to share a story about a farm up in Maine. I'm pretty sure it is in Gorham, but the Humane Society has been trying to shut them down for YEARS. They have at lease 30 horses and they don't take care of their feet, they don't groom them, and they are in an un-safe, unsanitary environment. The farm is really poor and the people sell their horses so that they can raise money to buy more at cheap auctions. Then they mistreat those horses. The farm also has tons of cats. They don't take them to the vet because when I went up there the cats were literally skin and bones. Also one had a sprained leg, and the woman working there said, "she'll be fine." That is not true, I can tell a fatal injury/sprain when I see one. The dogs they have up there are chained up all day. No matter how hot it is outside. They have unfair diets and it is total animal abuse. I hope that people can shut it down soon and keep up the good work on your blog :) <3
